Hydrogen Generator Saves 20% - 90% Fuel and Increases Power
Uploaded by: hydrojuice34
Video Description:
Gorilla Developers has been working on creating a method of extracting Hydrogen from water and an electrolyte solution.
This has now ... all » been achieved. See the video to understand the incredible volume of Hydrogen being extracted. How is this achieved? Using 30 amps from your alternator on standard vehicles for the 20-Cell electrolyzer we weave this energy Through an over 40 stainless steel plates which ext
ract the Hydrogen necessary to aid in increased fuel combustion efficiency. What does this mean to me? Your vehicle will have substantially increased fuel combustion. [Most vehiclesonly burn less than 50% of the fuel injected into your cylinder because of a lack of Oxygen and Hydrogen] The lower yo
ur mileage directly relates to the lack of your engines efficiency. Increasing the efficiency of the burn provides a requirement of less fuel [less pedal being required to achieve/maintain speed.] Visit our web site and register today. http://www.GetHydroPower.com We seek local sales/support sta

No! It's a rubbish idea. The alternator creates opposite torque on the shaft proportional to the current (and therefore power) that it supply's to the load. The less current it has to produce the less power it eats up from the engine and the less fuel the engine will consume. So the only way to get better mileage would be to unload the alternator even further.
It's best ... ( 2 weeks ago by hobatu)
It's best illustrated this way. Attach a 95% efficient electrical motor to your alternator and have it help turning the wheels of the car. Is there any net gain? No! What you've done is increased your total fuel consumption by at least 0.05 times the power of the alternator equivalent. Same thing with that hydrogen thingie. Electrolysis is, lets say, 60% efficient. Burning it in the engine is, lets say 30% efficient. So in the end you've increased fuel consumption by 1-0.6*0.3 times alt. equiv.
Not at all. Carnot ... ( 2 weeks ago by hobatu)
Not at all. Carnot efficiency applies to all ICE's. Any heat engine needs a radiator to work at all and hydrogen ICE's are even less efficient than gasoline counterparts. You can't increase the combustion temperature too much because it would produce oxides of nitrogen. Hydrogen burns at too high a temperature by itself, so serious cooling is needed, even further reducing efficiency. If there is any gain at all from combustion time optimization in this way, it's very small, most likely.
It sounds like you ... ( 2 weeks ago by BMCBrady)
It sounds like you think the material an engine is made out of needs to be thermally conductive in order to work. If the amount of time that burning fuel is in contact with the engine decreases, then the amount of heat available for expansion increases, and the amount of heat LOST to the radiator decreases. You have to subtract that loss before carnot efficiency even comes into play. Also, air cooled ICEs are heat engines that dont have radiators.
The faster you ... ( 2 weeks ago by hobatu)
The faster you complete an engine stroke, the quicker the next one comes. You can only increase heat transfer to the cylinder walls with faster burning. And that's without considering that hydrogen is a very good heat conductor. Also, much of the work is done during adiabatic expansion after the fuel has burnt. In the sense of Carnot efficiency, the radiator of the Otto engine is the fuel-oxidant mixture in the cylinder before combustion. Air cooling only means that the engine has little power.

How much power do ... ( 2 weeks ago by flynnt77)
How much power do you think it takes to spin a loaded alternator? That's beside the point anyway; we don't use the hydrogen as primary fuel. We use it as a supplement to gasoline. THink about this: Nitrous Oxide is used in the same fashion with massive power gains as the result. Oxyhydrogen gas performs basically the same funtion. It helps gasoline burn faster, more completely and more efficiently. Faster cleaner burn means less gasoline required for the same amount of power. -Continued-
There will be ... ( 2 weeks ago by flynnt77)
There will be additional load on the alternator, but not enough to drag the engine down to lower MPG. Naysayers can preach about physics and thermodynamics and Carnot efficiency all they like, but I have one of these on my truck and after proper tuning I have increased MPG about 40 percent. My engine runs better now, too.
If you take a 150 ... ( 2 weeks ago by hobatu)
If you take a 150 kW alternator and load it fully to make hydrogen or whatever, it would decrease the power to wheels by massive 113 hp. So if you only had an engine of 133 hp, you'll be left with only 20 to drive. 0-60 in never. 0-10 in 5 minutes :D See, there's no free power. As for hydrogen additive increasing mpg, consumer watchdogs say it doesn't. Careful analysis has shown a 4% increase in mpg for old diesel trucks. Cars seem not to benefit at all. Perhaps you're just driving carefully...
You could turn a 1 ... ( 2 weeks ago by hobatu)
You could turn a 1 GW generator by hand if there was no load on the armature winding. Just connect the 3 wires of the stator together and you will need a huge nuclear power plant to move it at all. The same goes for any generator. What about air conditioning in your car? It eats, lets say, 6 kW or 4.5 hp from the engine! So you need to burn more fuel to drive the same way you did without the air con.
I apologize for the ... ( 2 weeks ago by slinkee2k)
I apologize for the confusion. I see how I confused the two of you--you both seem to act alike. The use of an H2O electrolyzer (as a source of H2) in a car does not improve vehicle efficiency (that would be impossible, according to the Law of Conservation of Energy). However, the use of H2 gas stored in a car would act as a additional fuel source. The only time that producing H2 gas in a car might improve efficiency is while breaking, coasting, or idling, but that wouldn't work. Solar H =good
You are mistaken: ... ( 2 weeks ago by slinkee2k)
You are mistaken: HHO is just another way of writing Hydrogen+Hydrogen+Oxygen or H2 + O2 in a 2:1 molar ratio, same ratio as in water, but as separate molecules of H2 and O2. If it were really "HHO" it would just be "H2O" which is water, and you're not burning that.

And for the guy who made the video keep up the good work we need more people like you to help the world go green. we need this technology and to stop burning fossil fuels any one who disagrees doesn't have a brain. |
