Video Description:
Ron Paul for President 2008!!!
As the 300, US citizens are fighting a mighty foe. Instead of the massive Persian army, we fight the massive corporate-controlled political and media machine. Whether Ron Paul gets elected or not, by supporting him, you send a message to the machine and to other US citizens. The message is simple
...the machine is NOT all powerful...the USA CAN be for the people once again! The louder we can roar that message across the world, the greater our victory. They will fight us every step, but only a wave at a time. With the internet and other means, we can fight each wave, one at a time. Be pers
istent, keep hope alive. Support Ron Paul...roar FREEDOM!

Live in the south, ... ( 8 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
Live in the south, do ya Gary? My guess is probably not, since you seem to have some fanciful ideas about employment discrimination and racial prejudice. Take off the rose-colored glasses, my friend.
Are you saying that ... ( 8 months ago by GaryVolts)
Are you saying that their are a lot of businesses hiring people for attributes other than their value in the south? The only organization that could stay in business doing that would be the government. People still have the freedom to live where they want right? So whats your solution? Have a g-man in every private company watching that everyone is treated equally, screen all interview candidates, make sure nobody was over looked because of their race, how short, fat, or ugly they are?
I just finished ... ( 8 months ago by GaryVolts)
I just finished Rand's Fountainhead. It was pretty good, could have said the same thing in half the pages. Agree with the themes, against unions and other collectivist ideas that reduce the rights of the individual and empower the mediocre. I thought the hero blowing up the public housing project was a bit much. I guess back then people hadn't yet come to accept these disasters as part of the urban landscape. You're like the villian that uses collectivism to advance his personal goals.
I'm saying that ... ( 7 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
I'm saying that it's naive to think that without regulation, business will naturally gravitate towards equal racial treatment. The solution is at hand: Make discrimination illegal, promote affirmative action, and crack down on evidenced violaters as reported. And don't fall for silly strawman arguments such as "needing g-men" in our businesses.
Yeah... and we all ... ( 7 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
Yeah... and we all know that Libertarianism has nothing to do with advancing personal goals... oh, wait, that's exactly what Libertarians and Objectivists had in mind. That less like the pot calling the kettle black and more like the pot calling the fine china black. Those phliosophies proudly boast of inherent greediness and advancement of individual goals over the group, so I'm fairly surprised you chose to call out collectivism over those other philosophies.
Just like a honey ... ( 7 months ago by GaryVolts)
Just like a honey bee seeks the nectar and as a a consequence pollinates the plants, the individual seeking his own happiness and prosperity benefits the economy.
The difference is the collectivist aspouses altrusim for everyone while seeking personal benefit by claiming to be the one to plan for all, the classical liberal is consistent in his self serving intentions and actions, there is no hyprocracy. Don't confuse this with corruption or illegal activit
y.
Why does a business ... ( 7 months ago by GaryVolts)
Why does a business care what color a person is? They just want to match labor with capital to take profit. If I catch individuals acting in a way that wastes my biz money for their petty ignorance, I will solve this problem myself.
The problem is uncompetative environments, not the bigotry these environments tollerate. By the way, did you know that South Africa's famous aprathide rules came out of the labor unions? It was a way to regulate being outcompeted by the indigenous peoples.
Have you never ... ( 7 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
Have you never heard of robber barons? Upton Sinclair? The Gilded Age? Pre-regulatory child labor? Please DO NOT treat personal advancement as an unqualified good. It simply in't. And the only difference you see is a "self serving" (again, do you know what Objctvsm/Librtnsm is about) intention on the part of collectivists?
Why does a business ... ( 7 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
Why does a business care? Because a business is not an unfeeling, unprejudiced, unprincipled entity. A business is still made up of people with agendas. If your theory is that a business doesn't care what color a person is, then please, explain to me why there used to be signs like "NO NIGGERS" "IRISH NEED NOT APPLY" "NO MEXICANS" "COLORED BATHROOM" littering the country. I'll tell you this much: it wasn't bas simple as government mandate. Gary, you've really got a blindfold on.
You're describing ... ( 7 months ago by GaryVolts)
You're describing historical situations of uncompetative and/or corrupt situations such as hiring for government police or fire departments or when minimum wages are instituted that prevent people from competing on value. Hiring managers can instead give preference instead for silly things like skin color. Either way you're describing periods of unnatural surplus labor usually caused by the boom and bust periods common to fiat currency systems.
You are grossly ... ( 7 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
You are grossly ignorant of human prejudices currently kept IN CHECK by government policies. You also seem to be forgetting that the free market has had very little to do with social engineering that has done so much to eradicate those same prejudices. The free market simply doesn't care as much as you imply. For social justice to occur, the government has to step in.
And I claim you are ... ( 7 months ago by GaryVolts)
And I claim you are ignorant of the true causes and effects of government actions in markets. You credit social engineering with benefits that should be rightly be attributed to advancements in technology and human knowledge.
Speaking social ... ( 7 months ago by GaryVolts)
Speaking social engineering, so you hear that the FHA is going to be insolvent by the fall. How wonderful they've been helping the underprivledged get into mortgages over their heads. What a get benefit to mankind. If you can't tell, I'm being insincere. And of course the people really benefiting are the builders that sold them over priced houses thanks to wonderful social engineering.
That claim is ... ( 7 months ago by niksilvourbolt)
That claim is simply outrageous. The free market didn't stop slavery, start racial integration in schools, end child labor, or institute measures to promote equal pay and opportunities for minorities. THE GOVERNMENT DID. The free market is concerned with making money, and doesn't give a damn about doing good for society... it tolerates prejudice in the name of percentages, and anyone with half a brain knows that.

Tips to help you create better videos

1. Eye Candy.
Think about some of your favorite videos, ask yourself, what interesting shots and b-roll need to be captured to make your video entertaining to watch.

2. Good Lighting.
The main difference between amateur and professional videos is the quality of the lighting. Poor lighting creates graininess and poor quality videos too. (*Hint* In most studios, the lights and the cameras can be adjusted up and down to get the correct amount of light.) For your home studio make use of fluorescent light bulbs. These bulbs produce a nice soft light with no harsh shadows. You can buy fluorescent light kits or you can save a lot of money and make your own fluorescent light box. It is best to use a three point lighting system which is fairly standard in most studios.

3. Tripod.
Use a tripod for shake free shooting. Tripods come in all sizes and quality. Most camcorders used today are only small and weigh very little so there is no need to buy a tripod to suit a heavy professional video camera.

4. Microphone.
The built in microphone on your camcorder is not the best to use if you can avoid it. Buy a directional one that can be mounted on top of your camcorder. Otherwise mount the microphone on a boom or support just out of view of the camcorder but close to the subject. Another option is to use a microphone that clips onto your lapel and as used by newsreaders on television. These are very effective and can be purchased for less than $50. No need to buy a wireless unit, but you need enough cable to run from the camcorder remote microphone, up the inside of your shirt and to your lapel. Bear in mind that you will normally be seated within six feet of the camcorder so the microphone should have plenty of cable.

5. Avoid Zooming and Panning.
Avoid zooming in and out and panning from side to side as much as possible. It is recommended that you set the zoom prior to recording.

6. Pre-Roll and Post-Roll.
Allow a few extra seconds after starting and before stopping the camcorder and the actual start and finish of the action you want to record. This allows for better editing once the shooting is over. Not allowing for the pre-roll and post-roll can make editing difficult. If you are filming yourself then start the camcorder recording with the remote control, wait six seconds before you start talking and at the end let the camcorder run an extra six seconds before stopping. This will give you plenty of time when editing.

7. Remember It is A Small Screen.
When shooting videos to add to your web site, normally the player will be 320 x 240 so avoid wide scenes, keep it close to see the detail. If you are filming yourself talking, you should be within six feet of the camera and preferably from the waist up. Keep the content simple and uncomplicated, do not have much happening in the video and keep it quiet-on-the-set.

8. Think Like a Photographer.
When shooting a video, do it like a photographer taking individual shots. Plan your video shoot, record for a short while from one position then stop recording, reposition the camera or yourself then shoot again. This will reduce excessive camera movement in your video. Using these tips will ensure that you can shoot and produce quality website videos of a better quality than most people. Remember, practice makes perfect and soon you will be getting great results on the first take.

9. Look at the Details.
Sometimes, you are so focused on your subject that you do not notice the surrounding elements of the scene. Only later, when you are reviewing the footage do you notice an unsightly trash can in the background or a tree sticking out of your subjects head. I like to scan the video screen carefully before shooting to make sure there is nothing in the shot that I may have overlooked. You may be surprised what you find!

Use our search feature, at the top of the page, to find videos about your favorite topics. There are tons of videos, for example, type in "Bikini contest", "Body building", "Guitar lesson", or "How to (anything)". Search for "Commercial", you will see cool ads and funny commercials. Notice the video techniques used to capture each video, you may very well find many helpful tips and tricks to use as well as many techniques to avoid when making your own videos... have fun.
