Junkyard Turbojet Engine
Uploaded by: GreenGloop
Video Description:
Hi everyone, this is my first Youtube video. This is a clip of a turbojet engine I made back in high school. Most of the parts I bought from local hardware/plumbing stores or scrounged from an auto junkyard.
I didn't have any welding equipment or that much money so a lot of it is held together by big C clamps and/or ductape. For the oil pump I attached a power drill to an oil pump from a ford pickup, its cooled with a fish tank pump, the fuel is ignited with a flyback transformer made from parts of an
old TV, the combustion chamber is made out of steel plumbing pipe, I'm using propane from my barbeque for fuel, and I start it with my vacuum cleaner. Total Cost: 200$ Enjoy.
