He was in the movie, but was a minor character. The leading man was clearly Raoul Julia, and I dare anyone to say otherwise.

Bison's list of things to do:
1. Never call Chun-Li harmless.
2. Next time a woman says she studied martial arts for the sole purpose of whoopin' your butt, run.

Ming Na was the ... ( 2 weeks ago by blade4hero)
Ming Na was the only actor in this movie that put in a really credible performance in my opinion. Van Damme was okay, but he should have been more serious like his cartoon counterpart, cuz Guile in Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie didn't take no mess! Chun-Li talked about avenging her dad's death and Guile's reign of terror. This film should have been narrated from her viewpoint starting out as a flashback when she was a kid and saw her dad die. That would have made this film more dramatic!
This is how it ... ( 2 weeks ago by blade4hero)
This is how it should have been: Chun-Li on a mission for revenge against Bison for killing her father! That's how the film should have been. All that stuff with the clumsy crew trying to help her: Zangief, Cammy, etcetra was just unnecessary humor thrown in. Had they not had so many wisecracks in this movie it could have been a serious drama-action or suspense-thriller type film! Oh and had Ming-Na dyed her hair brown and wore blue instead of red that would have added to the film's credibility.
The hairstyle she ... ( 2 weeks ago by blade4hero)
The hairstyle she has at 1:15 is definitely close to how Chun-Li looked in the Anime movie Street Fighter II. It would have been cool if Ming-Na had this look throughout the entire movie. Yep, no doubt! Then she and Bison have a serious round-and-round throwdown at the end, but she outsmarts him! Now that would have been really cool!

i could care less, the movie wasn't really that good for a Street Fighter adaptation, it should of been filled with more action more drama more kick ass scenes and more of them doing their signature moves and what not.

No the movie wasn't good as a Street Fighter adaptation. It wasn't good as ANYTHING ELSE either, except to remind people that Raoul Julia could act better with stomach cancer than the rest of the cast combined.
Ming-Na saved this ... ( 1 week ago by blade4hero)
Ming-Na saved this film from being a total washout cuz of her convincing performance as Chun-Li. She did a good job fitting into character and so did Jean Claude as Guile until he started making all those stupid insults at Bison over the radio transmission.
She didn't need no ... ( 1 week ago by blade4hero)
She didn't need no help. Her crew should a stayed back, cuz she had Bison's on his knees and all they did was cause a big distraction. This is before Tomb Raider, Crouching Tiger, & Charlie's Angels so I woulda like to have seen her finish him off, maybe twisting his arm back and hitting a pressure point in his neck that knocks him out cold. Yeah that woulda been awesome right there! If this film had Ming Na doing protagonist narration like Joy Luck Club this film woulda been 20 times better.
Kind of ironic that ... ( 1 week ago by blade4hero)
Kind of ironic that Guile bragged he was gonna kick Bison's butt, yet Chun-Li beat him to it! Yeah Bison got his lick in at the end, but Chun-Li was the first to really shake Bison up. But the actors who did Ryu and Ken were very disappointing; their personalities just did not match the ones from the games or the cartoon adaptations. Ken and Ryu were more like reluctant friends than best buddies in this movie...and Bryon Mann didn't wear a white headband like Ryu always does!

if Ming Na were 10-15 years younger, I'll bet she'd outdo Kristin Kreuk for the upcoming Street Fighter movie

lol Hell no !! Guile didnt even sound american!! LOL he might look the part but das it!! But yeh MING NA actually kicked ass as Chun li and to a certain extent so did the guy playing RYU! but das it!! the rest CRAP!!!!
That's a good point ... ( 6 days ago by blade4hero)
That's a good point! She's definitely a more powerful actress on screen than Kristin I think. Her emotion is just so moving and so real! I didn't always get that vibe when I saw Kristin on Smallville. Sometimes I did, but Ming Na takes the cake! And yeah, Ming Na would whip Kristin's butt if they were both like 25 years old as: Old Chun-Li vs. New Skool 21st cent. Chun-Li! 1994 Chun-Li would skool 2008 Chun-Li no question! No bullet time required! Ha!
Ming Na got that ... ( 6 days ago by blade4hero)
Ming Na got that intense fire in her eyes at 0:10 like she gonna kill Bison for killing her father and enslaving that village. She through taking all his mess! She ready to make him pay! This showdown should have been the centerpiece of the movie, not Guile vs. Bison! Cuz it's clearly more personal with Chun-Li (murdered father) than with Guile (prisoners). Give Raul Julia some good wrestling moves to counteract Ming Na's martial arts kicks and you got yourself quite a finale for this movie!

Tips to help you create better videos

1. Eye Candy.
Think about some of your favorite videos, ask yourself, what interesting shots and b-roll need to be captured to make your video entertaining to watch.

2. Good Lighting.
The main difference between amateur and professional videos is the quality of the lighting. Poor lighting creates graininess and poor quality videos too. (*Hint* In most studios, the lights and the cameras can be adjusted up and down to get the correct amount of light.) For your home studio make use of fluorescent light bulbs. These bulbs produce a nice soft light with no harsh shadows. You can buy fluorescent light kits or you can save a lot of money and make your own fluorescent light box. It is best to use a three point lighting system which is fairly standard in most studios.

3. Tripod.
Use a tripod for shake free shooting. Tripods come in all sizes and quality. Most camcorders used today are only small and weigh very little so there is no need to buy a tripod to suit a heavy professional video camera.

4. Microphone.
The built in microphone on your camcorder is not the best to use if you can avoid it. Buy a directional one that can be mounted on top of your camcorder. Otherwise mount the microphone on a boom or support just out of view of the camcorder but close to the subject. Another option is to use a microphone that clips onto your lapel and as used by newsreaders on television. These are very effective and can be purchased for less than $50. No need to buy a wireless unit, but you need enough cable to run from the camcorder remote microphone, up the inside of your shirt and to your lapel. Bear in mind that you will normally be seated within six feet of the camcorder so the microphone should have plenty of cable.

5. Avoid Zooming and Panning.
Avoid zooming in and out and panning from side to side as much as possible. It is recommended that you set the zoom prior to recording.

6. Pre-Roll and Post-Roll.
Allow a few extra seconds after starting and before stopping the camcorder and the actual start and finish of the action you want to record. This allows for better editing once the shooting is over. Not allowing for the pre-roll and post-roll can make editing difficult. If you are filming yourself then start the camcorder recording with the remote control, wait six seconds before you start talking and at the end let the camcorder run an extra six seconds before stopping. This will give you plenty of time when editing.

7. Remember It is A Small Screen.
When shooting videos to add to your web site, normally the player will be 320 x 240 so avoid wide scenes, keep it close to see the detail. If you are filming yourself talking, you should be within six feet of the camera and preferably from the waist up. Keep the content simple and uncomplicated, do not have much happening in the video and keep it quiet-on-the-set.

8. Think Like a Photographer.
When shooting a video, do it like a photographer taking individual shots. Plan your video shoot, record for a short while from one position then stop recording, reposition the camera or yourself then shoot again. This will reduce excessive camera movement in your video. Using these tips will ensure that you can shoot and produce quality website videos of a better quality than most people. Remember, practice makes perfect and soon you will be getting great results on the first take.

9. Look at the Details.
Sometimes, you are so focused on your subject that you do not notice the surrounding elements of the scene. Only later, when you are reviewing the footage do you notice an unsightly trash can in the background or a tree sticking out of your subjects head. I like to scan the video screen carefully before shooting to make sure there is nothing in the shot that I may have overlooked. You may be surprised what you find!

Use our search feature, at the top of the page, to find videos about your favorite topics.
